WANNA SNUGGLE - raced three wide early before improving to the lead passing the 2200 metres. Weakened on the final turn and finished towards the rear. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned Trainer/Driver J Dickie advised that the filly had been treated for a seasonal complaint following its last start and had worked well leading into tonight's event. He further stated that he was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance. Stewards will follow up with Mr Dickie in the coming days.

WANNA SNUGGLE - improved three wide with cover from the 750 metres but only battled in the run home to finish in 8th place beaten 5.6 lengths. When questioned Trainer/Driver J Dickie stated that he was disappointed with the performance and would be having the filly vetted in the coming days. Mr Dickie advised that he will contact Stewards should anything surface that would explain the run.

IMPERIAL MAN - held up near the 150m and when shifting ground outwards made contact with the sulky of the weakening DEM BONES DEM BONES which broke in consequence. Driver R McIlwrick admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

ERROL D - slow over the early stages and lost contact with the body of the field throughout. When questioned regarding this trainer/driver M Shirley advised the gelding had trotted roughly throughout and he was reluctant to apply pressure as he felt ERROL D would break.

ERROL D - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1500m and broke in consequence.

Off mobile gate,always detached

ERROL D - connections advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. Paced in the score up having to be broken up by driver M Hill and was back from the Unruly position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
