Mr May added that his horse had also lay inwards at this time. Stewards noted Mr May's comments.

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Mr Dobbs also admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly by shifting inwards shortly after the start when insufficiently clear of FERNZ GOLDY which was checked. After considering Mr House's explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied his decision at the time was not unreasonable and took the matter no further.
