ONE OVER DA LINE - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home and trotted roughly passing the 150m. Broke late in the run home and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(5) alleging the gelding was lapped on at the finish by CLYDE, PAIGE and MAVIS JONES. After viewing the replays driver J Dunn did not contest the protest and ONE OVER DA LINE was relegated to 6th placing by the Stewards.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration on the left front leg which was treated and lameness in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

GALWAY GIRL - hung inwards rounding the first bend. Driver C Thornley was warned for the manner in which he drove for a distance passing the 1900m when half carting. When assessing this Stewards took into account there had been no consequential effects as a result. Switched to a pace near the 150m before breaking when being restrained.
