After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williams' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 December up to and including 12 December 2024 (2 days).

Driver C DeFilippi was warned for using his whip on a runner out of contention and free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Mr DeFilippi advised the gelding had raced keenly from the mobile with the effort taking its toll over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.

Driver R Houghton defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Houghton's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 5 May up to and including 12 May 2024 (3 days).

Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
