When questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer/driver J Thomas advised the gelding had been breaking in previous starts and had trialed well in preparation for tonight's race. Mr Thomas was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove when allowing the gelding to race away from the marker line when leading at various stages.

Mr Morrison advised he was not disappointed with the performance considering the mare was racing up in grade from its last start and had raced wide early before reaching the parked position.
