After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and drivers S Clarke (THE TOWN OF LIGHT) and R Close (RULE AGAIN) the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Clarke's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 9 March up to and including 19 March 2025 (2 days).

SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - hampered by a weakening runner near the 300m. Held up throughout the run home. Stewards questioned Junior driver S Hill (assisted by R May) regarding his decision to shift outwards instead of waiting to utilise the passing lane near the 250m. Mr Hill explained that he elected to shift outwards early in the run home as a result of KAIRAKI VEGAS which he had been trailing commencing to race greenly and weaken. Mr Hill added that he felt his best option was to shift outwards to follow JENA which was travelling well instead of waiting for the passing lane and being held up. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
