When questioned regarding the performance driver R Holmes advised the gelding had travelled well however failed to respond when placed under pressure and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Trainer D Keast advised he would have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.

VERDUCCI - driver J Young-Grant admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Young-Grant's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 15 September 2024 (2 days). A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed swelling on the knee consistent with the gelding striking itself and was treated by the Veterinarian.
