RAPID RESPONSE - held up early in the run home. Driver H Orange's foot slipped from the sulky footrest near the 300m when activating gear and made contact with the gelding's hind leg. Stewards spoke to junior driver H Orange (assisted by S Ottley) and after viewing the replays it was deemed the contact had been accidental and no further action was required. Locked wheels briefly with ITZ ALL FIRED UP passing the 180m after that runner lay outwards.

Lay inwards for a distance and paced roughly when being shifted wider on the track near the 950m. Again lay inwards rounding the final bend causing driver A Edge difficulty and struck the sulky wheel of ARCHIE and broke and shifted inwards checking EVIDENTLY which fell dislodging driver K McClintock. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
