SWEET GLORY - shifted outwards near the 300m checking and hampering outside runners. Stewards questioned drivers A Lethaby (SWEET GLORY) and J Cox (RACINGMISSGRACIE) regarding this incident where it was established that runners to the inside had shifted outwards simultaneously to Mrs Lethaby shifting outwards for clear running resulting in her being dictated wider than anticipated. Mrs Lethaby further advised that her horse had become keen when presented with clear running which had contributed. After considering their explanations and viewing the replays Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.

The start was delayed when SWEET GLORY shifted out abruptly just prior to the start hampering outside runners with the field being turned away to readdress the barrier. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver A Lethaby elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the restart.

MAJOR LINC - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised that despite racing parked she was disappointed with the effort and added that the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than some inflammation to a knee. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

MAJOR LINC - had to be steadied passing the 800m when there was an easing of the pace. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S Tomlinson advised she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
