Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays driver A Clark did not contest the protest and MASSIVE MERC was disqualified by the Stewards.
