Stewards questioned driver A Edge regarding the tactics he adopted in the early stages when electing to shift inwards to race on the marker line. Mr Edge explained that the horse had previously disappointed when racing in the parked position so he elected to shift inwards to obtain cover.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

C C ARDEN - broke near the 200m losing all chance and was pulled up shortly after the finish line. Transported from the track by the Horse Ambulance after showing signs of lameness. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left hind leg and the gelding was stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

Miss Holbrough reported the hopple shorteners failed to release despite her efforts due to the cord becoming entangled. Miss Holbrough was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Walsh's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 19 January 2025 (2 days).
