VISCOUNT BANNER - shifted inwards racing into the first bend and struck the sulky wheel of FLYING FOR ME (D Reardon) and stumbled before locking wheels with CHAMPAGNE NEN. Driver R Houghton defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Houghton's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 5 May up to and including 12 May 2024 (3 days).
