HEISENBERG - fractious prior to the start and breasted the barrier strand despite the efforts of driver K Newman with a false start being declared after the barrier failed to clear the track. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Junior driver K Newman, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Newman's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 18 October 2024 (2 days).

Held up for clear racing room early in the run home and then attempted a marginal run to the inside of HERE'S HERBIE and raced over track markers. Driver C Ferguson was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove at this stage. When assessing this Stewards took into account HERE'S HERBIE had contributed by shifting ground marginally.
