A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed no abnormality.

When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had failed to settle with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised although the gelding had worked hard through the early stages to obtain the lead he was disappointed with the effort after being able to gain some respite through the middle stages.

Driver S Thornley advised he would be recommending gear changes.
