LASA - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was very disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection which will be treated.

When questioned regarding the performance driver S Hill advised the gelding had raced lethargically and he was disappointed with the effort. SWEET GLORY - shifted outwards near the 300m checking and hampering outside runners. Stewards questioned drivers A Lethaby (SWEET GLORY) and J Cox (RACINGMISSGRACIE) regarding this incident where it was established that runners to the inside had shifted outwards simultaneously to Mrs Lethaby shifting outwards for clear running resulting in her being dictated wider than anticipated. Mrs Lethaby further advised that her horse had become keen when presented with clear running which had contributed. After considering their explanations and viewing the replays Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.
