Continued to shift outwards in the run home before pacing roughly near the 50m. Driver C Wigg defended a breach of Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations alleging she failed to maintain a straight course in the run home resulting in ARIZONAWILDCAT being placed in restricted room and hampered near the 200m. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions from Stewards and Ms Wigg, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.

Attempted to improve three wide for a distance passing the 1700m however was unable to muster enough speed and was then restrained to the rear of the field approaching the 1200m. Weakened from the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.

When questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the gelding had been suited to racing close to the pace after improving to the parked position through the middle stages. Junior driver H Sail (who declined assistance from a Senior driver) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Sail's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 13 December up to and including 17 December 2024 (2 days).
