Miss Harrison was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after she failed to activate the hopple shorteners. RAPID RESPONSE - held up early in the run home. Driver H Orange's foot slipped from the sulky footrest near the 300m when activating gear and made contact with the gelding's hind leg. Stewards spoke to junior driver H Orange (assisted by S Ottley) and after viewing the replays it was deemed the contact had been accidental and no further action was required. Locked wheels briefly with ITZ ALL FIRED UP passing the 180m after that runner lay outwards.

ITZ ALL FIRED UP - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding. Trainer S Adlam advised he would be making gear changes prior to resuming.
