Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Driver P Ferguson (MIKI'S MOMENT - 5th placing) confirmed that his chances had not been affected.

JETASI - connections advised that the filly would be racing without front shoes. Hampered near the 300m. Junior Driver C Hackett, assisted by T Mitchell, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner over the concluding stages. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended her driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 February up to and including 14 February 2025 (3 days).

Weakened from the 600m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the filly had again tied up badly which required treatment by the Veterinarian. Trainer D Gale advised that he would be reassessing this runner's future as a racing proposition.

INDISPOSED - briefly raced wider on the track near the 1400m when THE MAESTRO shifted ground outwards. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule however after viewing replays it was established that Driver P Ferguson (THE MAESTRO) had commenced his outwards movement prior to INDISPOSED covering his sulky wheel with no further action required. Paced roughly and broke near the 1300m hampering an outside runner and lost ground. Weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.

MOENUI MISS - Driver J Abernethy was questioned with regard to his decision to leave the one/one position near the 1150m and improve to race outside the leader. Mr Abernethy stated the mare had not handled the bends well on the first day and with driver J Dickie (FINAL CHANGE) sitting back off the leaders he felt it was his best option to improve round at this stage to race handy.
