Junior Driver D Grundmann, assisted by J Abernethy, admitted a charge under 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Grundmann's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 6 September 2024 (3 days).

CHEER ME ON - Driver Z Meredith, who elected not to have the assistance of a Senior driver, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Reins Regulation in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion near the 200m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Meredith's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 16 August up to and including 27 August 2024 (3 days).

JAHI - crowded prior to racing into the first bend when outside runners had shifted inwards. Raced over track markers and broke entering the first bend losing ground checking and hampering trailing runners. Stewards questioned drivers C Hackett (JAHI), assisted by T Mitchell, F Schumacher (MAJOR BREAK) and H Orange (THE BEACH HOUSE) regarding firstly the crowding prior to racing into the first bend and secondly the breaking entering the first bend. After hearing from all parties and viewing the replays Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any one driver and took the matter no further.

JAHI - broke near the 1450m hampering trailing runners and locked sulky wheels with SHEZA MERMAID with Driver C Hackett being dislodged from the sulky. Ms Hackett was examined by St John Ambulance personnel and cleared to fulfil her remaining driving engagements. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.

Mr House reported that the mare had lay in throughout the run home causing him difficulty and that the removable deafeners had failed to activate despite his efforts.
