DELTA KILO - when questioned regarding his decision to shift away from the leader FRANCO HOFFMAN's back near the 200m Driver W House stated that DELTA KILO had been causing him some difficulty when laying in so he felt it was a better option to shift out on to the back of the improving BLUE CHIP LOU rather than risk contacting the sulky wheel of FRANCO HOFFMAN that appeared to be under pressure. Mr House added that with hindsight he may have been better served to have looked to regain the lead midrace.

CATHY FREEMAN - Driver S Dickson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

Driver S Doody admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Doody's Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 21 November 2024 (2 days).

Held up rounding the final turn and then paced roughly passing the 200m after contacting the sulky wheel of BLUE CHIP LOU which lay in despite the efforts of Driver S Doody. It was established that LORD DELMAR had lay out marginally and contributed to the incident with no further action deemed necessary.

RUN MASON RUN - when questioned regarding the tactics he adopted during the middle stages when electing to hold the parked position Driver S Abernethy stated that the gelding had performed well when driven in a similar manner previously and felt that CAULFIELD did not appear to be travelling well enough to warrant taking a trail on that runner. Mr Abernethy further stated that RUN MASON RUN had battled on strongly over the final stages to finish close up to the placegetters.
