Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to HARLEEN QUINZEL under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver R McIlwrick did not contest the protest and HARLEEN QUINZEL was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
