SOUTH SIDE STORY - broke early in the score up and was back from position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Driver Z Butcher encountered considerable difficulty in restraining this runner to take a trail rounding the first turn and then again near the 1150m. When questioned Mr Butcher confirmed that this had taken its toll.

Stewards questioned drivers C Hackett and Z Butcher (ALWAYS B ELITE) regarding the breaking of JOES ROCK and after hearing from both drivers a warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
