Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the filly had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays trainer/driver Z Butcher did not contest the protest and MANTRA BLUE was disqualified by the Stewards. Mr Butcher advised he would be adding hopple shorteners for the filly's next start.
