Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver C Sharpe was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.

Co-Trainers R Green & N Delany were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after a middle carrier came adrift during the running. A post-race veterinary examination, which included an endoscopic procedure, revealed an irregularity with the epiglottis which requires further investigation.
