Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation in that the gelding was not in the correct gait for more than 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and WHATS UP THE HILL was disqualified by Stewards. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.

Raced over further track markers passing the 100m after becoming awkwardly placed to the sulky of KAIPAKI JACK which had locked sulky stays with AMERICAN MUSCLE. Stewards noted the circumstances and took the matter no further.

After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Ms Ranger's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 4 March 2025 (2 days).
