OUR PEGASUS PEARL - driver D Morrison admitted a breach of Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted outwards passing the 1400m forcing FEARLESS to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Morrison's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 7 July 2024 (2 days). Mr Morrison was also warned for failing to concede his position at the earliest opportunity when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner passing the 800m. Mr Morrison was further spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he urged his runner with the reins in the run home.

Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulations alleging the gelding had switched to a pace in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from all parties IRON LOVE was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee.
