For R35 to R55 pacers. This race will be split based on Ratings/Conditions, meaning a higher rating 1-win pacer may be included in a lower rating race. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary. The winner of the highest rating race will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The stake for the lowest rating race will be $11,000, middle race $11,000 and highest race $12,000.

Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.
- ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS
In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS
Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS
In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
- GOLD CHIP FINAL
For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Gore HRC meeting held on Friday 27th December 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Gore HRC, Central Otago TC, Roxburgh TC, Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Forbury Park TC, Riverton TC, Invercargill HRC and Waikouaiti TC) and have its second win in the period from 27th December 2024 through to 2nd February 2025 at a Southern Harness Racing Club meeting. 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Final will operate as follows: Most wins at during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 2nds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 3rds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, then club discretion. 4. The $15000 Gold Chip Final will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. Non-win (MR) horses will start off the front. R rated horses off a 20 metre handicap. 6. A horse can only win one Gold Chip Final.
- SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES
1. Open to all 4 year and older mares up to rating R70 as at 1st January 2025. 2. The heats will be Preferential Barrier Draw based on winning stakes using the track grid. 3. To be eligible to start in the final any mare must have started in a heat of the series. 4. Where a mare is accepted for a heat and that heat is cancelled the mare will be eligible for the final at the discretion of the Club's balloting committee which hosts the final. 5. The winner of a heat will gain automatic qualification for the final. A horse can win two heats and then be ineligible to start in any further heats. 6. Mares will earn points in the heats as follows: 1st - 10 points, 2nd - 5 points, 3rd - 3 points, 4th - 1 point. 7. A minimum of 6 horses will be required for a heat to be run. The highest points scorers in the heats will be selected to start in the final - a maximum of 13 starters - mares with equal points will be selected at the discretion of the club holding the final. Mares selected to start in the final will not be eligible to start in other races on the day of the final.
