For R35 to R65 trotters. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R50. 20m: R51 to R57. 30m: R58 to R65. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. In the first instance if sufficient nominations a 1-win only trot will be held, otherwise this race will be split on Ratings/Conditions, meaning a higher 1-win horse may be included in a lower rated race. The stake of the lowest rating race will be $12,000.

The lower rating race will be run for $12,000, middle race $13,000, highest race $15,000.

- ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS
In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS
Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS
In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
- GOLD CHIP
For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Gore HRC meeting to be held on Friday 27th December 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Gore HRC, Central Otago TC, Roxburgh TC, Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Forbury Park TC, Riverton TC, Invercargill HRC and Waikouaiti TC) in the period from 27th December 2024 through to 2nd January 2025. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 7th February 2025 at the Wairio TC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
