For horses who were either (MR) non-win or 1-win at time of the Wyndham HRC meeting on 10th November 2024, and have raced at a Southern Harness Racing meeting at least once between 10th November 2024 and Friday 20th December 2024. For R50 to R90 pacers. Front: R50 to R57. 10m: R58 to R65. 20m: R66 to R73. 30m: R74 to R80. 40m: R81 to R90. This race is part of the SOUTHERN CUPS SERIES and Country Championship.

Special Conditions

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME

    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP FINAL

    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Oamaru HRC meeting held on Thursday 7th November 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Oamaru HRC, Wyndham HRC, Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, Forbury Park TC) and have its second win in the period from 7th November 2024 through to 20th December 2024 at a Southern Harness Racing Club meeting. 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Final will operate as follows: Most wins at during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 2nds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 3rds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, then club discretion. 4. The $15000 Gold Chip Final will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. Non-win (MR) horses will start off the front. R rated horses off a 20 metre handicap. 6. A horse can only win one Gold Chip Final.
