- ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS
In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS
Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS
In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
- GOLD CHIP
For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged three years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 1st August 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged three years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, Gore HRC, Wyndham HRC and Oamaru HRC) in the period from 1st August 2024 through to 19th September 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 26th September 2024 at the Gore HRC meeting and will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
- INVERCARGILL HRC ASCOT PARK IRON HORSE BONUS SCHEME
1. The top 10 most raced horses that have started at an Invercargill HRC meeting only & who have won one or more races at an Invercargill HRC meeting during the period from 8 August 2024 to 6 July 2025 inclusive will be eligible for the Iron Horse Bonus. 2. There are 15 race meetings hosted by the club during this period. 3. All horses that meet the criteria above will be eligible for the bonus with the top 10 receiving it. The list of bonus eligible horses will be published on the Southern Harness website & the Invercargill HRC Facebook page. 4. The horse with the most starts will receive $5,000, with the remaining horses from second to 10th in the top 10 list will receive $2,500 each - totaling $27,500 worth of bonuses. 5. In the case of a tie, a countback will be conducted on most wins, then most seconds, then most thirds. If a tie still exists then the highest stakes money earned at the Invercargill HRC meetings during that period will determine the final standings. 6. Bonuses will be payable to the registered owner(s) of the horse following the Invercargill HRC meeting is held on 6 July 2025. 7. In case of any dispute the Invercargill HRC Committee will make the final decision.
