MONARCHY INVASION - Co-Trainer B Hackett was issued a $50 minor infringement notice for being late presenting the gelding in the assembly area. Broke near the 500 metres losing its chance.
BELMONT'S GREATEST - over-raced in the middle stages.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - held up early in the run home.
Race 2   NICKEL GRAIN & PRODUCE/THE BODY DETECTIVE HCP TROT
BULLER WHITEBAIT - broke shortly after the start. Broke passing the 700 metres losing ground settling at the rear.
PRINCE MACKENDON - broke shortly after the crossing when in the lead, recovering settling midfield. Inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 1400 metres. The authorisation of the payment of the gelding's 4th placing was withheld until such time Stewards confirmed that the horse had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. The gelding was placed on the unruly for future stands at the trainer's request.
ROYAL CADET - broke shortly after the start.
MANCHESTER ON FIRE - broke at the start. The filly was declared unruly for standing starts at the Trainer's request.
MACKERELLI - broke passing the 1500 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner.
WAIT FOR SUCCESS - broke approaching the 1400 metres, losing ground.
AIN'T NO PRINCESS - slow away and broke early before trailing the field throughout.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - broke losing ground passing the 1700 metres.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke passing the 700 metres and again passing the 500 metres, losing its chance.
GRENADO - Trainer J Abernethy was issued a $100 minor infringement notice for presenting the gelding with removable deafeners that were not notified. Broke shortly after the start, recovering quickly.
BURT MUNRO - Stewards reviewed the video coverage of Driver S Branch's shift outwards passing the 1100 metres to confirm that LITTLEBITOFLOVE had not improved to the outside of her sulky wheel at this point of the race and therefore she had not breached the Push Out Rule.
Race 3   ELLA ROSE/HUGHES BROTHERS MOBILE PACE
BEAUDIENE EMERALD - held up rounding the final turn.
HEAVEN LEE - paced roughly for a stride passing the 350 metres.
CASSIS - struggled to maintain contact with the field from inside the 900 metres and finished well back. A warning was placed on the mare's race performance record.
TWO FIFTYEIGHT - raced three wide from inside the 1300 metres.
FINAL DELIGHT - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
Race 4   LANDMARK HOMES/ALLIED FARMERS MOBILE PACE
NICKY JAY - broke early in the score up, recovering to take its position behind the mobile gate.
TRUMP'S IDEAL - paced roughly in the score up and again shortly after the start. Became unbalanced travelling over the crossing and broke, losing three to four lengths. Broke again approaching the 250 metres, inconveniencing a trailing runner.
PROP ROCK - held up over the early stages of the run home.
BETTERBROOK - broke passing the 1200 metres losing several lengths before recovering. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner approaching the 250 metres.
Race 5   FARMLANDS MOBILE PACE
KNIGHTS DESIRE - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
JACK BATES - held up until inside the final 100 metres.
LINCOLN LOVELY - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
PHILLYDOTCOM - raced three wide from the 1400 metres and then four wide from the 1000 metres.
RANGI RANGDU - held up rounding the final turn and throughout the run home.
ITSOKBEINGBETTER - raced three wide from inside the 900 metres, four wide passing the 600 metres, five wide entering the straight.
LADY SANTANNA - raced three wide from the 1300 metres.
MARRERA - raced three wide from the 1300 metres.
Race 6   TOMMO'S TYRES MOBILE PACE
RED RIVER DASH - broke approaching the first turn after contacting the sulky of J BEE which shifted down into the one out running line and lost 4 lengths. When questioned driver S Abernethy advised that he had attempted to improve forward to hold his position but that his mare had not responded when he had then conceded as J BEE commenced to shift inwards and as a result contact occurred. No further action was deemed necessary. Held up briefly final turn.
J BEE - driver D Butcher was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground in relation to the incident entering the first turn.
AIN'T NOTHING BETTOR - broke near the 250 metres and broke a hopple connecting strap whilst in the gallop. This gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory order.
WAINGARO MARA - held up early final turn.
Race 7   SANDFORD BROS LTD/COASTAL AGRI SERVICES MOBILE PACE
LORD SANTANNA - became unbalanced travelling over the crossing when in the lead causing checks to trailing runners. Broke passing the 100 metres shifting out hampering AWESOME SPEED.
BELLA ROZA - broke early in the score up and was at least five lengths out of position at the start. Inconvenienced by a galloping runner passing the 1600 metres and then broke free of interference passing the 1400 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
XMAS BAY - broke at the start inconveniencing a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Raced three wide from inside the 1300 metres. Checked and broke losing its chance approaching the 250 metres.
AWESOME SPEED - raced three wide from the 1300 metres. Checked when passing the 100 metres losing momentum.
AFORTUNADO - broke losing ground passing the 1200 metres.
MCDAKNIFE - raced three wide without cover throughout.
ERROL FINN - raced three wide from the 1400 metres.
MOTORING MAJOR - checked and inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the crossing. Held up rounding the final turn. Shifted ground outward from inside the 300 metres, causing interference to XMAS BAY approaching the 250 metres. Driver S Doody admitted a charge of careless driving and the JCA suspended his horseman's licence from after 22 April up to and including 2 May 2019.
KAROLYI - became unbalanced travelling over the crossing and broke, losing ground.
THE KAPITI EXPRESS - the gelding ducked out sharply under pressure just after the finishing line, cramping horses to its outside.
PEKESON - the authorisation of the payment of the third (UNCLE DREW) placing was withheld until such time that Driver K Marshall reviewed the video coverage of the run home as he felt his gelding was impeded inside the 250 metres at the entrance to the home straight. He stated that he was tightened for racing room by UNCLE DREW to his outside and by ERROL FINN to his inside. After reviewing the coverage he decided not to lodge a protest.
Race 8   FINHAVEN LODGE/REVITAL FERTILISERS MOBILE PACE
GOTTA MOMENT - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
GO GETTA - became unbalanced travelling over the crossing and broke, losing considerable ground.
SARABI - weakened in the lead inside the 400 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
TORO DELAGO - checked and broke for a stride when there was an easing of the pace inside the 1000 metres.
NANELLE FRANCO - raced 3 wide early. Inconvenienced by a weakening runner inside the 400 metres.
SHEIKH YABOOTY - inconvenienced by a galloping runner breaking on the crossing and held up rounding the final turn and throughout the run home.
