LITTLE BRO - Broke for several strides and was slow to move away early in the score-up resulting in it being back a length at dispatch. | |
PHOEBE IMPERIAL - slow to move away from the pre-race circle and was a length off the mobile at dispatch. | |
SOL INVICTUS - broke late in the score-up losing all chance. | |
ANGUS BURGA - a length out of position at the start. Inclined to lay out throughout the run home shifting ground outward. Junior Horseman T Lethaby was reminded of his obligation to maintain his position behind the gate. | |
ABOVE THE REST - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having got both front legs over a rail in the bird cage and was cleared to start. | |
Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards viewed the photo finish in relation to the first placing following the Judge declaring a dead heat. |

FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced greenly entering the first turn contacting several markers. Held up final turn and failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home finishing in sixth place beaten 3.7 lengths. | |
RAGING THUNDER- checked late in the score-up by a galloping runner. Stewards declared the gelding a non-runner with it being a late scratching under Rule 213(1)(j) on the grounds that it was denied a fair start. Starter G Benton was shown the video coverage of the start and spoken to advisedly. | |
LADY AMEERA - Inconvenienced near the 1500 metres when there was an easing of the pace and was taken wider on the track. Became unbalanced for several strides after the crossing. | |
CATCH THE DREAM - raced three wide early. | |
BLAKE - became unbalance travelling over the crossing. Broke losing ground. Broke free of interference approaching the 650 losing it's chance. The gelding was declared ineligible until such time as it trials satisfactorily. |
