| WYPOUT - weakened final bend. | |
| ROYAL PAT - lay inwards rounding the first bend losing contact with the body of the field for the remainder of the race. | |
| ELLAGATOR AL - paced in the score up having to be restrained losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. | |

Continued to pace roughly at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed SANDO DENARIO to be showing signs of muscle tie-up. Trainer B Gray advised the filly would be sent for a spell. | |
| FREEDOM SWEET - shifted into the passing lane in the run home. Driver E Barron was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home and leave full access for trailing runners. Stewards questioned junior drivers D Anderson (DELIGHTINGOLD), assisted by M Hurrell, and H Douglas (MIKI SKIPPER), assisted by J Douglas, regarding this incident. It was established that DELIGHTINGOLD had hung outwards after Mr Anderson had activated the sliding blinds and despite his efforts the mare's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of MIKI SKIPPER which had shifted inwards marginally after Mr Douglas had difficulty activating the removable deafeners, resulting in DELIGHTINGOLD breaking as a consequence.
