| The start was delayed at the first attempt due to SUBSTITUTE being reluctant to face the front barrier. This runner was sent to the outside unruly position at the request of the driver. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. | |
| INTA RHYTHM - raced over a track marker near the 250m when in restricted room before locking wheels briefly with an outside runner. | |
| MAJESTIC TRIX - raced in restricted room passing the 200m locking wheels briefly with an inside runner and became unbalanced before breaking losing its chance. | |
| STINA BLACKSTENIUS - lay inwards and dislodged a track marker near the 1250m. Lay inwards contacting track markers rounding the final bend when weakening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. | |

| MESSENGER BUOY - Junior Driver K Coppins, assisted by J Abernethy, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly near the 300m when shifting ground outwards checking SEA THE CASH which broke losing all chance. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. | |
