Driver C Dalgety advised Stewards he was unable to fulfil his driving engagements in Races 1, 2, 3 & 4 due to transport difficulties and was replaced as per the Summary below.

Race 8 - BAYNES FAMILY HANDICAP TROT
Trainer C Buchan advised Stewards on 1 October that subsequent blood tests revealed MISTER to be suffering from dehydration and chronic fatigue and the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
Stewards concluded their investigation into the tactics adopted by driver A Clark (CONFESSIONAL) during the race. After reviewing the films and giving the matter further consideration Stewards accepted the explanation of Mr Clark and took the matter no further other than to note the comments.

Race 1   WYNDHAM WORKOUTS HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to KYLE LOCH breasting the 30m barrier strand resulting in the gelding being sent to the Unruly by Starter B Ward. Driver N Kyle was issued a $200 Minor Infringement under Rule 858(1)(a) for delaying the start.
MAVERICK HILL - driver N Williamson advised the gelding had trotted roughly on the bends.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - driver B Barclay advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to the gelding trotting roughly.
KD CORONA - driver B Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
PYRAMID MISCHIEF - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 200m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 2   MLT THREE RIVERS MOBILE PACE
EYES OF AN ANGEL - driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
HAZER - over-raced in the score up and in the early stages.
RAKADIAMONDS - over-raced briefly near the 600m becoming awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of SHERGAR. Held up final bend and throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M Hill.
Race 3   RURAL LIVESTOCK MOBILE TROT
OUR EVIE RAE - lay inwards on the bend near the 1250m contacting track markers and again rounding the final bend.
ANNROSE - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke passing the 150m losing all chance.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JACCKA BAYLIS - over-raced in the score up and broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the films and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 4   KUBALA SEEDS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
LUNAR VALE - held up rounding the final bend.
SANDO DENARIO - raced wide early. Paced roughly at stages throughout.
ALWAYS B MEDLEY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Green. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
HOPE PHILLY - driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MEANDMYSHADOW - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 5   MARSHALL'S EXCAVATING LTD TROT
GARONNE - trotted roughly at stages throughout.
RONDO TROUBLE - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke briefly passing the 800m losing ground. Weakened final bend.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
Race 6   DIAMOND CREEK/SBSR TUAPEKA GOLDEN GIRLS SERIES MOBILE PACE
ARINITTI - held up final bend. Crowded having to steady passing the 50m when an outside runner shifted inwards.
BOMBAY GLACIER - shifted inwards passing the 50m crowding an inside runner. Driver K Green was issued with a warning for the manner she shifted ground.
HAVARTI ARDEN - broke passing the 600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
JENNY GUMP - weakened in the run home.
RAKAVENOM - raced wide early.
DELIGHTINGOLD - over-raced when being restrained to take cover in the early stages.
CLAASEE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Barclay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide early.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
KOTARE KELSO - weakened rounding the final bend.
ALWAYS BE BOOTIE - over-raced at stages throughout. Held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
Race 8   PERFECT STING AT MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
MR PRESIDENT - broke briefly racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Stewards spoke with drivers B Barclay (MR PRESIDENT) and M Hurrell (BELUGA) regarding an incident near the 1850m when BELUGA raced in restricted room. After speaking with both drivers and reviewing films Mr Barclay was spoken to advisedly for the manner he drove at this stage of the race.
JACCKA HENRY - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
TRENDY'S STAR - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
WAIKAKA - broke in the score up, however was in position at the Candy Pole. Weakened in the run home.
BELUGA - placed in restricted room near the 1850m having to be steadied. Lay inwards in the latter stages of the run home having to be corrected by driver M Hurrell.
