Race 1   STUDHOLME BLOODSTOCK MARES' SPRING SPRINT SERIES MOBILE PACE
JUST LIKE JAGGER - hung outwards at various stages throughout.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 2   LISTEN LIVE ON SPORTNATION.NZ HANDICAP TROT
LIPSTICK - over-raced middle stages.
TU TANGATA - broke near the 350m and failed to settle losing its chance.
MAJESTIC MONKEY - broke briefly at the start.
MAROUBRA - held up late in the run home. Driver K Tomlinson reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
ATLANTIC CITY - lay inwards over the concluding stages having to be straightened by driver B Williamson.
LOTTIE'S MOMENT - broke near the 200m losing all chance. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 3   ALSCO UNIFORMS MOBILE PACE
ZIP YA LIP - weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ALWAYS A PLAYA - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 600m. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and whether there had been an opportunity to shift outwards near the 700m driver B Butt explained he was reluctant to improve three wide at that stage given the distance remaining. Mr Butt added that ZIP YA LIP which he was trailing, had been maintaining its position and only commenced to weaken approaching the 600m. He further added that by the time this occurred ALWAYS A PLAYA had become covered by the improving MAGNATE resulting in his runner being held up.
CRUNCHY BAR - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home.
AVALON - broke in the score up losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
AARDIE'S IDEAL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Cox. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 4   HELPING OUR KIDNEY KIDS LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES MOBILE PACE
NIKOLAI RAY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Orange. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TAUMUTU LAD - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
HAWK TOUIE LOUIE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
RAZOR HORIZON - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities.
TOUCH N GO - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Weakened leaving the final bend.
GIORGIO DENARIO - raced wide early.
FLYING HOLME - over-raced in the early stages before breaking after 100m and shifted inwards hampering an inside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Continued to over-race in the middle stages. Broke again leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AARDIE'S MEMPHIS - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
Race 5   THE JOLLY GOOD TROT - SPONSORED BY JOLLY BILLBOARDS HCP TROT
DONNA'S BOY - trotted roughly passing the 900m losing ground.
LUVAVICI - struck track markers rounding the final bend. Driver S Whatuira was issued a warning.
PYRAMID ROSE - fractious at the start and breasted the barrier strand before breaking losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600m.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - weakened final bend.
TACTICAL BID - trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M Williamson.
Race 6   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS MOBILE PACE
QUINN - over-raced early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Held up final bend.
BURNHAM GIRL - locked wheels with SELSEY ANNE which lay inwards in the run home.
STUMPY BLACKLER - held up final bend.
LIZZIE BORDEN - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced wide early.
SPICEY LOU - raced wide early.
SELSEY ANNE - lay inwards in the run home locking wheels with BURNHAM GIRL.
MAJOR MOONSHINE - weakened final bend.
MY WINGMAN - held up early in the run home.
Race 7   GREG & LEIGH AYERS 'THE SUNDON' 2YO CLASSIC (MOB TROT)
MR MERCEDES - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
CORNELIUS CLOWERS - trotted roughly before breaking rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
HARRY HILL - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
I'M ANNIE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DUKE OF BOURBON - broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt. Broke again leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the colt.
MASTER MCGOOGAN - driver M Williamson advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
JET STREAM - a spreader broke on the gelding in the score up. Weakened final bend. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start. This gear was inspected and found to be in good condition. Trainer/driver A Clark advised he would be making gear changes prior to racing on Sunday.
LA VENTURE - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
Race 8   NZI INSURANCE, PEACE OF MIND FOR NZ BUSINESSES CHAIRMANS HCP
RENEGADE - over-raced middle stages.
BRUNTWOOD BRIGADE - broke at the start and shifted outwards checking trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BETTORS ANVIL - checked by a breaking runner at the start and broke losing ground.
MARKETPLACE - the off side hopple shortener became entangled around the gelding's hind hopple loop after being activated.
MO'UNGA - checked by a breaking runner at the start.
IT'S TOUGH - checked by a breaking runner at the start.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - pre-race warmed. Broke briefly at the start.
Race 9   TACTICAL APPROACH DG JONES BANKS PENINSULA CUP (HCP TROT)
The start was delayed due to MIDNIGHT DASH becoming fractious and turning sideways. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
EMPIRE CITY - broke at the start losing all chance.
RESOLVE - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
HABIBTI PAT - driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
CONFESSIONAL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m. Raced wide until being restrained to the rear near the 1100m. Weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
FIERY BANDITO - broke near the 1900m hampering trailing runners losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly when weakening near the 600m. Again trotted roughly near the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HE AINT FAKIN - paced away losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROCK LOBSTER - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m.
MIDNIGHT DASH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m.
YA RITE DARL - held up early in the run home.
MIGHTY LOGAN - improved wide final bend.
MR LOVE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver B Hope advised he had been unable to make ground after starting from a 20m handicap and having to race wide from the 600m.
Race 10   WAI EYRE FARM 'LAZARUS 3YO STAKES' (MOBILE PACE)
FREEZE FRAME - had to be restrained when racing to the inside of MARBLE ARCH and FRANCO LOMU racing into the first bend. Held up early in the run home. Stewards questioned drivers K Butt (FREEZE FRAME) and Z Butcher (MARBLE ARCH) and after taking initial evidence adjourned the matter.
CAPTAIN TYRON - raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
FRANCO LOMU - the required veterinary clearance was received.
FOREVER MIKI - when questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly advised the gelding had been required to work too hard during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
EUN SOGNO - raced wide from the 1100m.
JUMAL - raced wide early.
SONOFAMISTERY - raced wide with cover from the 900m. Lay inwards near the 100m having to be straightened.
GET SEASIDE LUCKY - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver A Butt advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
KOTARE RIMU - permission was granted for the gelding to race without the notified blinds.
Race 11   LIGHTWIRE MOBILE PACE
FREDASTAIRE - weakened early in the run home.
CHERISH ME - lay inwards throughout the run home.
SACETAS - over-raced middle stages.
TRUMP CARD - hung inwards leaving the final bend and paced roughly before breaking losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
