ULTIMATE SEISATION - paced roughly at various stages throughout.
SHADOW CREEK - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing in the parked position.
ABITIBI - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 2   LAST CHANCE TO BOOK KIDNEY KIDS RACENIGHT 25 SEPTEMBER TROT
DONT LOOK KOBE - hung inwards near the 1100m striking track markers. Broke rounding the final bend when leading checking trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Driver K Tomlinson admitted a breach of Rule 870(1)(2)((a) in that she failed to take her breaking runner clear of the field and was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice.
BRIAN BEATT - checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend losing ground.
CASTLEISLAND - checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend and locked wheels with BAFFLED losing ground.
ORIGIN - broke in the early stages after striking the sulky wheel of LINDY'S ROCKET which shifted ground inwards losing all chance.
SCHOEMAKER - lay inwards near the 1500m striking a track marker. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
LINDY'S ROCKET - checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend and switched to a pace losing its chance. Driver S Thornley defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly by shifting ground inwards shortly after the start when insufficiently clear of ORIGIN which was checked and broke losing its chance. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Thornley, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
BAFFLED - checked by a breaking runner and locked wheels with CASTLEISLAND rounding the final bend losing ground.
ARADNE - lay inwards near the 1500m striking a track marker. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
SEE NO EVIL - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
Race 3   BOOK NOW YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY AT ADDINGTON MOBILE PACE
BETTER MAN - driver R Holmes was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MAJOR MISS - lay inwards rounding the first bend and became awkwardly placed to the inside of BETTER MAN. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
PICK IT UP - out of position at the candy pole. Driver G Thornley was issued a warning. Broke in the early stages and shifted outwards abruptly hampering an outside runner losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts and stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
SKY NEWS - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Driver S Tomlinson was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
WHATSUPMAN - held up leaving the final bend.
BEAUTIFUL CRAZY - lay inwards in the run home.
Race 4   ITM MOBILE PACE
WARD LAMON - driver M Holbrough's foot briefly slipped from the sulky footrest over the concluding stages. Miss Holbrough was issued a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
MOUTON CADET - driver T Borcoskie was spoken to advisedly to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
TWICE THE CHARM - weakened final bend.
TEMPO WARRIOR - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 700m.
Race 5   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MOBILE PACE
PARTY UP DENARIO - driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LORD MUDRICK - weakened final bend.
DREAM BOYZ - raced wide early. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised in his opinion the gelding had failed to back up from its last start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LONGVIEW TUI - raced wide early.
INTERRORGATOR - weakened final bend. A post-race endoscopy at the request of connections detected a degree of internal exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH) that may have affected the gelding's racing performance. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
HEAVEN FORBID - late scratching at 10.56am on Veterinary advice.
BELMONT VALOR - raced wide from the 1200m.
Race 6   AOTEA ELECTRIC PACE
RAPID RESPONSE - broke at the start losing ground.
WILLY AWAY - paced roughly and broke early in the run home losing all chance with the gelding's hopples breaking in consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. The hopples were inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
OCEAN OF TEARS - broke at the start losing ground.
HI HOPES - broke briefly at the start.
MAJOR PERFORMER - tangled away.
BLASTFROMTHEPAST - tangled away.
Race 7   RICOH MOBILE TROT
BRIANNA - out of position at the start. Driver D McCormick was issued a warning. Broke after 200m losing ground.
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early in the run home.
ZHUTEE - held up early in the run home.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - held up early in the run home. Driver R Houghton was issued a warning for allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of B K MUMMA JAMIE early in the run home. In taking this course of action Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects as a result.
KOWHAI SUMMIT - raced wide from the 700m. Driver H Sail was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
B K MUMMA JAMIE - over-raced early stages.
DELLA'S FELLA - raced wide from the 700m.
ASPIRATIONAL DREAM - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised the mare had raced keenly once reaching the lead in the middle stages however notwithstanding this, he was disappointed with the effort and could provide no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 8   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
ARCHER - weakened from the 650m.
FOX TERROR - over-raced when held up rounding the final bend and despite the efforts of driver M Holbrough struck the sulky wheel of HEZ A LOCH which was weakening.
JUSTIFICATION - driver B Orange advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
HEZ A LOCH - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. Driver H Sail reported the gelding had been striking its sulky wheels causing it to over-race and that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the final bend.
