Race 1   TK PLASTERING MOBILE PACE
THE BEACH HOUSE - trainer M House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race with an anti choke device which had not been notified. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
HEAVEN FORBID - over-raced middle stages. Blundered and paced roughly briefly round the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
STUBING - hampered rounding the final bend when HEAVEN FORBID paced roughly.
A BETTER JACKALACK - weakened from the 600m hampering trailing runners. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had suffered an episode of Epistaxis. Stood down for the mandatory period of 30 days with a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
BELMONT VALOR - lay inwards and paced roughly shortly after the start having to be steadied by driver G Thornley. Raced wide early. Lay inwards and struck track markers final bend.
HERE COMES MARTY - hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
Race 2   KIDNEY KIDS CHARITY RACENIGHT 25 SEPT - BOOK NOW TROT
RAKERO ACE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a period of time and was cleared to start.
PHISHING - trotted roughly racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened from the 1200m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised the mare had been showing signs of being in season during the running. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the mare to be heavily in season.
ORIGIN - broke at the start losing all chance.
REGAL SPIRIT - lay inwards at various stages throughout.
Race 3   US CAPTAIN STANDING AT WAI EYRE FARM "BOOK NOW" MOBILE PACE
SKY NEWS - briefly crowded racing into the first bend and struck a track marker.
BEAUTIFUL CRAZY - briefly crowded racing into the first bend. Lay inwards over the concluding stages.
THE SEAMSTRESS - driver M Holbrough reported the mare had raced lethargically throughout and she was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FOREMAN FOX - shifted inwards crowding inside runners when improving to the lead racing into the first bend. Driver G Smith was issued a warning.
COURAGE MACHETE - lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
ITZ KURTUS MAXIMUS - lay outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Orange. Lay inwards despite the efforts of Mr Orange in the run home. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
CAPTAIN KIWI - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance connections advised they were disappointed with the effort and were unable to provide any explanation.
SADIE - lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the first bend. Weakened from the 600m. Trainer J Gray advised the mare would be sent for a spell.
Race 4   TENNANT ENGINEERING MOBILE PACE
FOX TERROR - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
LETS GET TROPICAL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
JUSTIFICATION - checked by a breaking runner near the 500m.
SPIRIT OF ATLANTA - checked by a breaking runner near the 500m.
RIP WHEELER - broke near the 500m hampering trailing runners and was restrained and retired from the race. Immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian and was transported from the track by the Horse Ambulance. A veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had fractured its right hind hock and was humanely euthanised.
ERRATIC - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
HEZ A LOCH - paced roughly in the score up having to be steadied. Checked by a breaking runner and broke near the 500m losing all chance.
Race 5   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
OKIWI BAY - lay inwards at various stages throughout.
ULTIMATE SEISATION - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox reported the mare had been striking a knee and cross-firing during the running. Trainer K Newman advised he would be making gear changes prior to the horse racing next.
FLYAWAY - lay inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 6   TIS THE SEASON - BOOK NOW FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY PACE
OCEAN OF TEARS - began awkwardly. Held up final bend.
HI HOPES - held up final bend.
GATECRASHER - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
IAMTHECAPTAINNOW - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened from the 500m hampering trailing runners.
SWEET WILLOW - raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
WILLY AWAY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - held up final bend.
Race 7   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS TROT
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - held up final bend.
SEE NO EVIL - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MISS GRACIE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a period of time and was cleared to start. Slow to begin before breaking and losing all chance.
LINDY'S ROCKET - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 8   OKTOBERFEST 2 OCT-BEERS, BETS & BRATS BOOK NOW MOBILE PACE
TALLANDFAST - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C Wigg. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - out of position at the start. Driver J Buckland-Stevens was issued a warning. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
OFF THE EDGE - driver A Edge was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
KOTARE KELSO - driver A White was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the run home and for crossing his reins to perform a celebratory gesture prior to the finish of the race. Mr White was also cautioned regarding not immediately pulling up after the race to return to the assembly area when he completed a victory lap of the track.
