Co-trainer B White advised Stewards on 10 September that JAZZYS UPSTART was treated for dehydration following the race and it is their intention to continue with the mare's current preparation.

Race 1   APPARELMASTER HANDICAP TROT
WYPOUT - broke at the start losing ground.
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly before breaking again passing the 1000m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - tangled away. Trotted roughly at stages throughout. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
PYRAMID MISCHIEF - driver M Williamson dropped his whip near the 300m.
KYLE LOCH - slow in the early stages.
Race 2   CRAIG & DYLAN HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
DRUMMERSHAVTIME - over-raced at various stages throughout. Driver D Anderson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MONEY IN THE TILL - placed in restricted room over the concluding stages when runners either side shifted ground.
TRAIN STATION - connections advised that the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing. Junior driver R Black briefly dropped his foot from the sulky footrest when activating gear near the 150m. Shifted inwards on several occasions in the run home and again over the concluding stages having to be straightened.
THE BRICKLAYER - raced wide early. Shifted out on several occasions in the run home and again over the concluding stages having to be straightened by driver H Douglas.
Race 3   REMEMBERING SNAUZZER MOBILE PACE
FEAR GOGH - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
BOMBAY GLACIER - raced wide early.
JENNY GUMP - raced wide early.
SEARING LIGHT - raced wide early.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - driver R Black advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 4   MURRAY FAUL MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
RAKATURBO - held up in the early stages of the run home.
SHEZASTRANGER - lay out rounding the final bend.
URBAN EXPLORER - paced roughly before breaking racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DELIGHTINGOLD - weakened over the concluding stages. Driver M Hurrell advised that the mare had been striking the sulky wheel discs during the running.
CRACKASKY - hampered and checked by a breaking runner passing the 750m.
SUZANNE - over-raced middle stages. Hampered and checked by a breaking runner passing the 750m.
CHARLOTTE BADGER - raced wide from the 1200m until reaching the parked position passing the 700m.
HUNGRY BRONNIE - hampered and checked by a breaking runner passing the 750m.
BATON ROUGE - raced wide early. Locked on one rein and shifted wider on the track before being retired from the race passing the 1100m by driver B Orange who advised he felt the gelding had choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had recovered well.
LUNAR VALE - weakened final bend.
MOON LIGHT TERROR - weakened final bend.
PRINCESS ALIA - paced roughly before breaking passing the 750m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MEA - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 750m.
Race 5   REGENT CAR COURT HANDICAP TROT
ANNROSE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
JACCKA JIM - pre-race warmed. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed JACCKA JIM to have experienced an episode of Epistaxis. As this is the gelding's second episode of epistaxis connections were advised JACCKA JIM is stood down for the mandatory period of 90 days with a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination required prior to completing a satisfactory trial before resuming racing.
THE WILL - switched to a pace rounding the final bend having to be broken up by driver M Williamson and was not persevered with thereafter. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
JACCKA ACE - pre-race warmed.
EMILY - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
BULLIT TRAIN - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 6   McKNIGHT & BROWN MOBILE PACE
RYLAN CHARLIE - locked sulky wheels with ALWAYS BE BATMAN near the 1800m when that runner lay inwards.
SUPERFAST - hampered and checked passing the 1800m and broke briefly in consequence.
CARRERA HOMBRE - hampered and checked passing the 1800m.
HERB - hampered and checked passing the 1800m.
ALWAYS BE BATMAN - over-raced throughout. Lay in and locked sulky wheels with RYLAN CHARLIE near the 1800m checking trailing runners. Stewards spoke with drivers E Barron (RYLAN CHARLIE) and H Douglas (ALWAYS BE BATMAN) regarding this incident. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the films it was established that ALWAYS BE BATMAN which was improving quickly had lay inwards at this stage of the race and proved difficult for Mr Douglas to steer on this occasion and others throughout. Mr Douglas further advised he would be recommending corrective gear changes. After hearing the explanation from both drivers Stewards took the matter no further other than to place a warning on the racing record of ALWAYS BE BATMAN.
BETTOR WAY - raced wide early. Hampered passing the 1800m.
DUCHESS OF KENT - late scratching on veterinary advice at 7.57am.
Race 7   CUP DAY FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER MOBILE PACE
MIKI SKIPPER - over-raced early and then again through the middle stages.
LUXMI - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Locked sulky stays with CHEER UP N DANCE passing the 200m and for the remainder of the home straight.
CHEER UP N DANCE - locked sulky stays with LUXMI passing the 200m and for the remainder of the home straight.
RAKAVENOM - paced roughly before breaking rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DANGER ZONE - weakened final bend.
