Race 8 - DIAMOND CREEK FARM / SBSR SOUTHERN SURGE FINAL MOBILE PACE
Driver K Larsen (SANTIAGO) defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly in the run home when allowing SANTIAGO to shift down the track forcing MAJOR BURNS (K Green) over track markers effectively losing its chance. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, K Green and K Larsen the Adjudicative Committee found the charge to be proved and after considering submissions on penalty suspended Mr Larsen's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today, 3 September up to and including 27 September 2026, 3 days.

Race 1   PERFECT STING AT MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
PRINCESS ALIA - weakened over the concluding stages.
HARVEY - over-raced rounding the final bend. Held up leaving the final bend.
HAVTIMEFORME - slow in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 2   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
JENNY GUMP - weakened in the home straight.
BOMBAY GLACIER - held up final bend.
TASHS BAD GIRL - raced wide early stages. Over-raced middle stages.
DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - over-raced middle stages.
ABULL - raced wide early stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
BY CHANCE - raced wide early stages. Driver A Milne will be spoken to in the coming days in regards to his whip use early in the run home.
Race 3   NIGHT 'N DAY WINTON TROT
SENSITIVE TO A SMILE - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no tangible explanation.
WYPOUT - briefly hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
SHAKEDOWN - shifted sideways prior to the tapes being released hampering an outside runner and delaying the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Sent to the outside of the Unruly line by Starter B Ward. Switched to a pace briefly in the early stages of the run home before being corrected by driver O Kite to its correct gait.
SONNY JIM - held up throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room inside the final 50m.
KIMBO - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
STAR INVASION - briefly hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
Race 4   SUBWAY WINTON MOBILE PACE
CAPTAIN ROBYN - lay out on the bend near the 1700m.
DANGER ZONE - shifted inwards passing the 50m having to be straightened by driver B Orange. When questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer F Stevens advised the gelding had benefitted from a better draw and also had received a run to suit today.
MOON LIGHT TERROR - lay in leaving the final bend.
TURN N BURN - driver B Norman was spoken to regarding the manner he drove over the concluding stages.
SWAHILI - weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 5   TRANSPORT SERVICES LTD TROT
JET STREAM - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Sent to the Unruly by Starter B Ward where the gelding will remain for future standing starts.
POPNROCK - trainer C Laurenson was issued with a warning for being late to notify the gelding would race without the notified pacifier. Broke at the start losing all chance.
KYLE LOCH - lost contact with the body of the field for a distance from the 1000m. Weakened final bend.
JACCKA JIM - pre-race warmed.
GERALDINE CLOWERS - weakened final bend.
Race 6   CREATION SIGNS MOBILE PACE
JACCKA HENRY - held up early stages of the run home.
HE'S ROBYN - co-trainers O Lawrence & C Graham were issued with a warning for presenting the gelding without a number.
OFF THE CANVAS - over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 1800m.
LUXMI - raced wide early. Lay in early stages of the run home having to be straightened by driver M Hurrell. Driver M Hurrell advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
CAPTAIN DASH - late scratching at 9.08am on veterinary advice.
Race 7   GOODMAN PLUMBING LTD HANDICAP TROT
JACCKA ACE - pre-race warmed. Over-raced final bend.
EMILY - driver K Green admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
DUCHESS MARIA - late scratching on veterinary advice at 11.31am.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
