Due to lightning in the area following Race 5 Stewards invoked the Lightning Protocols at 4.37 pm with the start time of Race 6 being rescheduled to 5.23pm.

Race 1   GWD GORE / TYRELAND MOBILE PACE
HONEYCOMB - lay in over the concluding stages. Driver P Hunter was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
JENNY GUMP - held up leaving the final bend and early stages of the run home.
HAVARTI ARDEN - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1800m.
VAN LIBERTY - raced wide early.
SHERGAR - raced wide from the 800m.
ARINITTI - raced wide with cover from the 800m. Lay inwards and paced roughly rounding the final bend before breaking hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ROCKIN ROMAN - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   gavelhouse.com HANDICAP TROT
CLASSIC SKYE - broke passing the 200m losing ground. Driver B Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the filly trotting roughly before breaking. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the filly had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver B Williamson did not contest the protest and CLASSIC SKYE was disqualified by the Stewards. Stood down to trial on two occasions to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
SENSITIVE TO A SMILE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
WYPOUT - briefly placed in restricted room near the 1100m.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING - pre-race warmed. Broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again rounding the first bend losing all chance.
PYRAMID MISCHIEF - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
KIMBO - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again rounding the first bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GERALDINE CLOWERS - lay in near the 1100m.
Race 3   ALAN STEEL MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
SUPERFAST - hampered by a weakening runner near the 750m.
WAIKAKA - weakened from the 750m. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
JAZZYS UPSTART - over-raced in the early stages. Driver S O'Reilly was issued with a warning for half carting for a distance from the 1800m. Weakened final bend. Driver S O'Reilly reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with co-trainers B & T White in the coming days.
HERB - eased down from near the 800m when the off side tyre and tube came off the rim. Driver P Hunter reported that the sulky tyre had deflated free of contact near the 1400m.
Race 4   HOWL AT THE MOON HANDICAP TROT
PHISHING - tangled away.
ANDY HALL - broke at the start losing ground. Briefly placed in restricted room early in the run home.
GEENA'S GIFT - driver H Douglas was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground early in the run home briefly placing an outside runner in restricted room.
DONTTELLARTY - lay in over the concluding stages.
ANNROSE - broke passing the 1650m losing ground. Broke again passing the 100m losing all chance.
Race 5   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
RAKAMICK - locked sulky wheels with RAKAVENOM passing the 60m losing ground.
RAKAVENOM - shied and lay inwards abruptly passing the 60m and locked sulky wheels with RAKAMICK breaking in consequence losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Following this race, due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions and concerns with the visibility on the track, Stewards convened a meeting of all drivers where it was unanimously agreed to continue racing given there was only the one race remaining.
Race 6   PERFECT STING AT MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
CARRERA BRAVO - raced wide early then over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover. Again raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
MACH A WISH - driver K Green was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
RAKATURBO - raced wide early. Again raced wide from the 1000m.
FEARTHEDANCE - out of position at the start. Driver P Hunter was issued with a warning for failing to maintain his barrier position until the start. Raced wide early. Again raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
HEAVENS ARE HEAVING - weakened over the concluding stages.
