Race 11 - GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
Junior driver H Douglas, who declined the assistance of a senior driver, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.

MOONLIGHT ANGEL - switched to a pace in the score up before breaking losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MASSIVE MERC - driver C Ferguson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BONJOUR PARIS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Lay in and broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

HARVEY - briefly hampered by a breaking runner over the concluding stages.
PRINCESS ALIA - raced wide early. Broke approaching the 75m hampering trailing runners losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
CARBONATE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner over the concluding stages.
JUST A GEM - lay in leaving the final bend.

KINGS CHOICE - out of position at the start. Driver M Williamson was issued with a warning for failing to maintain his barrier position until the start.
REDBACK BOB - out of position at the start. Driver N Williamson was issued with a warning for failing to maintain his barrier position until the start.
FIERY ADI - trotted roughly near the 1100m losing ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.

MACH A WISH - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
CAPTAIN CHRISTINA - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some lameness in the left hind leg and a slow recovery. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Trainer M Williamson advised he would have blood tests conducted on the filly in the coming days and undertook to advise Stewards of any significant findings.
RAKATURBO - raced wide early.

MUMSDAWITCH - broke at the start losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 8   DIAMOND CREEK FARM / SBSR SOUTHERN SURGE FINAL MOBILE PACE
MAJOR BURNS - placed in restricted room and forced to race over track markers for a distance in the run home.
MONEY IN THE TILL - lay in under pressure over the concluding stages having to be straightened by driver B Barclay.
SANTIAGO - shifted down the track throughout the run home forcing MAJOR BURNS (K Green) over track markers. Driver K Larsen defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that drove carelessly in this incident. Due to Ms Green having left the course with travel commitments the matter was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee.
THE DANCER - lay in over the concluding stages.
JAY JAY DENARIO - held up final bend. Driver C Ferguson advised he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
RYLAN CHARLIE - raced wide early.
INDULGE ME - shifted up the track leaving the final bend.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - paced roughly in the score up.

JACCKA ACE - pre-race warmed.

RAKAVENOM - inclined to lay out rounding the final bend. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
TABASCO - raced wide early. Weakened over the concluding stages.
