Race 7 - MOLLOY AGRICULTURE NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS CHAMPS (HT 7) MOB PACE
Junior driver R Harrison (I'M ROCKIN) assisted by J Dunn, was issued a warning for allowing her runner to strike the sulky wheel of CAUGHT THE EYE early in the run home. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful there had been no consequential effects as a result.

Race 1   OKTOBERFEST 2 OCT - BEERS, BETS & BRATS BOOK NOW MOB TROT
TERRY WEBSTER - out of position at the start. Driver S Tomlinson was issued a warning.
ORIGIN - weakened final bend.
BULLET - raced wide early. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
Race 2   CONCRETE BROTHERS MOBILE PACE
BELLA CIAO - over-raced middle stages. Driver R May advised the mare raced with only one hind shoe after losing one in the preliminary.
ROSA SHARD - held up final bend. Lay outwards and paced roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised the filly had raced greenly and expected her to derive considerable benefit from the race.
BETTABE LOU - raced wide early.
TAKE A CHANCE ON ME - weakened final bend.
ELLIE ROSE - weakened in the run home.
Race 3   HARNESSLINK MOBILE TROT
HOOF IT HAGRID - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home. Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Dunn advised he elected not to shift wider near the 1300m due to the solid tempo of the race and that the gelding is unsuited to racing parked. Mr Dunn further advised that after obtaining clear racing room early in the run home the horse had failed to respond to his urgings and had only battled over the concluding stages. Stewards noted Mr Dunn's comments.
WAIHEMO HANNAH - the breastplate clip detached during the running.
BROTHER LOVE - trainer G Smith advised the gelding has been treated for muscle tie-up since last racing. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Smith. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the horse.
Race 4   HERE FOR THE HORSE WINTER APPEAL MOBILE PACE
ROYAL BELLE - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the sliding blinds or removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
COUNTRY GOLD - weakened final bend.
MELTON ENFORCER - weakened badly final bend finishing a distance behind the remainder of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
ENYA FRANCO - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
Race 5   SECURE YOUR SPECTATORS QUIZ NIGHT TROT
PORT PEGASUS - briefly crowded late in the run home having to be steadied.
GEORGE ELIOT - Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1000m after GEORGE ELIOT raced wider on the track when PORT PEGASUS shifted ground outwards. After viewing the replays it was established that driver J Morrison (PORT PEGASUS) had commenced his outwards movement prior to GEORGE ELIOT reaching his sulky wheel and accordingly Stewards took the matter no further.
TYRON EROS - bounded as the start was effected and began awkwardly. Raced wide from the 1200m. Broke near the 550m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - raced wide from the 800m.
Race 6   HORSES PERFORM BETTER ON BETAVET MOBILE PACE
AUNTIE DEB - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home. Driver C Dalgety advised he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
WARRIOR CHIEF - broke early in the score up however was in position at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly when improving wide on the track near the 350m.
BLACK MACH - raced wide from the 700m. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
ALWAYS A PORSCHE - raced wide early. Lay outwards in the run home having to be corrected.
Race 7   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
SMOOTHER THE BETTOR - broke rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ITZ KURTUS MAXIMUS - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Weakened leaving the final bend.
LILACS LOCARNO - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Lay outwards in the run home.
THE VISIONARY - over-raced for a distance rounding the first bend.
CHILLI GOLD - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
Race 8   BREED WITH WOODLANDS 2026-27 MOBILE PACE
EASTON DOLL - over-raced middle stages.
PRINCESS RENEE - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that despite the filly being fresh up from a spell he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
UNICO REALTA - lay inwards at various stages in the run home. Driver J Dunn reported he had difficulty steering the gelding.
MONKEE MAJOR - over-raced middle stages.
Race 9   TOUCHDOWN CAR RENTALS RISING STARS SERIES (HEAT 2) MOB PACE
BORD DE LA MER - lay inwards at various stages causing driver W House difficulty. Paced roughly when weakening in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance connections advised the gelding was racing up in grade from its previous start and had got further back in the running than anticipated and considering this they were not disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FRANCO ANKARA - held up until late in the run home. Driver K Butt advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
LOOKIN SNAZZY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Butt. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt. Weakened final bend.
RAZOR HORIZON - lay outwards throughout the run home.
TEE BALL - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
SUNSOUTGUNSOUT - over-raced early stages.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
BETTOR BELLE - held up final bend.
ROCKINGOOD - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance connections advised that despite working hard in the early stages to maintain the lead they were disappointed with the effort of the gelding. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SHOWCASE - held up final bend and early in the run home.
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced middle stages.
IRISH DREAM - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left front leg and was treated by the on-course Veterinarian. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Driver C DeFilippi will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
