LORD MUDRICK - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
ART JORDAN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SHADOW CREEK - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Weaver advised the gelding had been unlucky at its previous start when held up and had also benefited from a change of shoeing.
HARRY BELAFONTE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver S McNally advised the gelding had worked too hard in the early stages when racing keenly with the addition of blinds. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
COUNTRY GOLD - raced wide early.
Race 2   BOOK NOW FOR MID WINTER XMAS 7 & 14 AUGUST MOBILE TROT
LEXICON - out of position at the start. Trotted roughly racing into the first bend.
KINGS CHOICE - trainer P Williamson was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with blinds which had not been notified. Out of position at the start.
STROMBOLI - out of position at the start. Broke near the 1250m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly,
MONTARA - when questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver D White advised that after getting too far back in the running he had been unable to make ground due to the fast closing sectionals and was pleased with the effort.
NATIVES CULLERDAMOON - held up early in the run home. Broke near the 50m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DAZZLED - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
KRACKA KARMA - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide early.
JACKS POINT - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards near the 1450m striking track markers.
Race 3   ALDEBARAN ZEUS STANDING AT ALDEBARAN PARK "BOOK NOW" TROT
LIPSTICK - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
ROYAL DEL - broke after 200m losing all chance.
BIZZA TO'O - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground.
SOLEMN SON - hung inwards at various stages and trotted roughly.
NIGHT LIFE - broke near the 500m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Trotted roughly and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
SWITCH ON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
CHESTER GOLD - slow in the early stages.
Race 4   CONGRATS TO MEMBERS WINNER "JOHN BLATCHFORD" MOB PACE
LILACS LOCARNO - out of position at the start and paced roughly shortly after the start. Paced roughly middle stages.
POSEIDON - over-raced middle stages.
NANSANA - hung outwards through the middle stages causing driver K Butt difficulty.
LIVINGTHEKIWIDREAM - weakened final bend.
FLYING HOLME - raced wide early. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
FRANCO ANKARA - co-trainers C & C Dalgety were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Raced wide early.
Race 5   'BET ON A BETTER FUTURE' RED NOSE DAY FUNDRAISER PACE
BLU DIAMOND - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
SIDESTEPPER - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the colt pacing roughly on occasions and he would be recommending adjustments be made to the hopple length for future starts.
EASTWOOD COMMANDER - lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Driver T Williams advised he would be recommending gear changes.
HINEMOANA - held up early in the run home.
BELLA CIAO - broke at the start losing ground. Hung inwards rounding the final bend having to be steadied.
Race 6   HAGLEY WINDOWS & DOORS MOBILE PACE
UNICO REALTA - held up for the majority of the run home.
MAJOR HENRY - weakened at the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M Pash advised he would be making gear changes prior to the gelding racing at Addington on Sunday.
PRINCESS RENEE - late scratching at 8.09am on Veterinary advice.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Good.
Race 7   HRS CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
MR PRESIDENT - held up final bend.
MAJOR HAPPY - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
OUR HARMONY - weakened at the 500m hampering a trailing runner. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ROCKINGOOD - paced roughly shortly after the start.
TEMPO WARRIOR - weakened final bend.
KOWHAI STAR - driver G Thornley was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice after admitting she failed to activate the hopple shorteners.
SHARE A DREAM - raced wide early. Lay inwards when weakening final bend.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 8   TOUCHDOWN CAR RENTALS RISING STARS SERIES (HEAT 1) MOB PACE
RAKERO MAXIMUS - weakened leaving the final bend.
TEE BALL - raced wide early.
CEE WHATA MICKEE - raced wide early.
STUMBLIN IN - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson advised he had been unable to make ground from the rear of the field due to the fast closing sectionals and expected the gelding to derive benefit from the race which was its first start for two months,
Race 9   GALLAGHER INSURANCE HANDICAP TROT
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - held up early in the run home.
GEORGE ELIOT - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Came together with BRING ON THE MUSCLE late in the run home.
PREMIUM PLAYER - weakened final bend.
TYRON EROS - broke passing the 200m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - hung inwards passing the 1000m and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of PREMIUM PLAYER. Came together with GEORGE ELIOT late in the run home. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver R Close (GEORGE ELIOT) placed 2nd, confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of BRING ON THE MUSCLE had not been affected after both runners had shifted ground marginally.
Race 10   PENINSULA BEACHFRONT RESORT, MOOLOOLABA MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS A PORSCHE - broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly at various stages in the run home.
MALAKAI - hung outwards just prior to the start briefly crowding outside runner. Placed in restricted room when an outside runner shifted inwards after 150m.
TANZANIA - crowded by inside runner just prior to the start.
RAKAMURPH - shifted inwards after 150m crowding an inside runner. Driver M Hurrell was issued a warning.
BESIDE ME - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
AMARETTO FRANCO - late scratching at 7.33pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
COMMANDER JOE - lay outwards throughout the run home and was unable to utilise the passing lane despite the efforts of driver H Douglas resulting in the gelding being held up over the concluding stages.
RACK'EM UP - crowded by an outside runner shortly after the start.
TRANSONIC - lay inwards shortly after the start crowding an inside runner. Weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucous which may have affected the gelding's racing performance. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
UTAH JAZZ - raced wide early.
