| PORCUPINE CREEK - Stewards questioned driver M Williamson regarding the tactics he adopted near the 1400m, in particular when racing in the parked position he appeared to ease the filly which allowed an inside runner to shift out off the marker line. Mr Williamson explained that his initial intention from the draw was to go to the lead, however driver B Orange (BYLLEE J) had gone to the front and inserted early speed into the race which left him parked out. Mr Williamson added, that as he felt this early in its career his filly is best suited when following another horse, he elected to restrain to obtain cover as he had in its previous start. Mr Williamson further advised that PORCUPINE CREEK had not been racing tractably in the early stages and he will be making corrective gear changes for future starts. Stewards noted his explanation. | |
