Race 1   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained.
EYES OF AN ANGEL - late scratching at 10.49am on Veterinary advice.
HEAVEN FORBID - fractious in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
LARISSA BEAUDIENE - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised the filly had hung throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 2   COLIN STEELE MEMORIAL TROT
MAJOR CYCLONE - trotted roughly in the run home.
MONSIGNOR - weakened final bend. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had experienced an episode of Epistaxis. Stood down for the mandatory period of 30 days with a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
CHOCOLATE ANGUS - slow over the early stages.
HELP ME - raced wide early.
JUST EASY - raced wide early.
KATELIN - trotted roughly rounding the final bend before breaking near the 200m losing all chance.
MAJESTIC FLYER - trotted roughly over the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
LIPSTICK - broke over the concluding stages.
CHAMPERS PAT - broke rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
DORNISH HILL - raced wide early.
TIME FOR VICTORY - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
TERRY WEBSTER - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again shortly after losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 3   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE
JIMANDAL - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
HARRY'S GOLD - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing ground. Broke again shortly after losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
SADIE - weakened final bend. Driver J Morrison reported he had been having steering difficulties.
TEE BALL - driver R Close advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
NEVERLOOKTWICE - weakened final bend.
POSEIDON - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 4   EXPERIENCE THE THRILL AT ADDINGTON HANDICAP TROT
MAROUBRA - awkwardly placed to the inside of SHEILA LAXON near the 550m having to be restrained. Driver K Tomlinson was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which she drove at this stage.
THE RIVER BOY - weakened from the 700m and lay inwards and contacted several track markers. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Mr Butt advised he will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
RUTHLESS EMMA - shifted inwards shortly after the start placing an inside runner in restricted room. Driver A Mugford was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which she shifted ground. Lay inwards rounding the final bend placing inside runner in restricted room and locked wheels with DIDN'T DI.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - broke after 100m losing ground.
MANAKAU BLAZE - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing ground.
DIDN'T DI - lay inwards and struck several track markers rounding the first bend. Locked wheels with RUTHLESS EMMA which lay inwards rounding the final bend.
OLIVER - raced in restricted room shortly after the start when outside runner shifted inwards. Broke near the 150m losing all chance.
SON E - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
MILES AWAY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
KAIRAKI SPUR - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 5   WOODLANDS STUD - THE GENETICS OF GREATNESS MOBILE PACE
LET IT RIP - over-raced middle stages.
ULTIMATE DREAMER - weakened final bend.
HARRY'S GIRL - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised he was disappointed with the effort and could provide no explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 6   SEAHORSE SUPPLEMENTS HANDICAP PACE
TREASURE COVE - began awkwardly. Lay out rounding the final bend and when attempting to utilise the passing lane broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MIKI'S COURAGE - lay outwards when being shifted down the track by COUNTRY GOLD near the 2400m and momentarily locked wheels. Over-raced middle stages.
CARRERA HOMBRE - trainer B Butt was issued a warning for being late to notify the gelding would be racing with removable deafeners. Broke at the start losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and could provide no explanation. A post race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
JOYRIDE(AUS) - over-raced middle stages. Driver C Dalgety was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
COUNTRY GOLD - locked wheels momentarily with MIKI'S COURAGE near the 2400m.
Race 7   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
MOONLITE BLOOD - driver R Close was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
CHRISTIES ART - lay inwards near the 1700m when being restrained and contacted the sulky wheel of NEXT LEVEL losing ground. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed lameness in the left fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
MIKI BENNETT - when questioned regarding the performance driver A Butt advised that it was the gelding's first start back after a spell and he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 8   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE MOBILE PACE
MOSTERT - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
COMMANDER JOE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - raced wide early. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
BEACHBREAK - raced wide early.
KOWHAI NUGGET - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Hope. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BIGGLES - raced wide from the 1000m.
Race 9   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
