Race 1   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE PACE
HEAVEN HIGH - near the 1000-metre mark, Driver O Gillies was required to adjust his helmet after RUSHKINOFF had raced in close proximity to the rear of his sulky. At that stage, Mr Gillies turned and directed comments towards Driver S Wigg. Stewards interviewed both Mr Gillies and Ms Wigg regarding the exchange. After considering the evidence of both drivers, together with their own observations. Stewards established that Mr Gillies had directed foul and offensive language towards Ms Wigg at this stage of the race. Subsequently, Mr Gillies admitted a charge under Rule 303(2) in that he misconducted himself and following submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.
RUSHKINOFF - trailed close to the helmet of HEAVEN HIGH (O Gillies) approaching the 1000m obliging driver O Gillies to adjust his helmet. Driver S Wigg was issued a warning for trailing to close at this stage of the race.
MURTLE THE TURTLE - lay inwards rounding the first bend.
ADJOURNMENT - raced wide from the 600m.
SPIRITED BELLE - broke in the score-up and then attempted to dislodge driver S. Abernethy from the sulky. Continued to gallop for an extended period thereafter and took no competitive part in the event. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
Race 2   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PUKEKOHE MOBILE PACE
SPIRITED PEGGY - trainer M Collins was issued a warning for being late to present the mare onto the track. Mr Collins was issued a further warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified removable deafeners. Paced roughly rounding the first bend.
LOVE VEGAS - broke in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
NORTHVIEW CRUNCHA - broke leaving the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the colt.
Race 3   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS TROT
SOUTH SYDNEY - contacted track markers near the 700m. Broke leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
M'LADY MACKENDON - contacted track markers near the 700m.
KISS MY PIXEL - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
FABIANA - began awkwardly. Broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1400m losing all chance.
SUPERFAST LADY - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
SKEE PRINCESS - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards leaving the final bend becoming awkwardly placed to the outside of MUM'S ANGEL which had shifted outwards to avoid a breaking runner.
MUM'S ANGEL - broke when avoiding the breaking SUPERFAST LADY approaching the first bend losing considerable ground. Hung inwards and contacted a track marker near the 750m. Hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend becoming awkwardly placed to the sulky wheel of SKEE PRINCESS and broke losing its chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of connections.
VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO - contacted track markers near the 700m when racing tight on the running line with this dictating trailing runners to also contact track markers. Driver S Abernethy was issued a warning.
HOME GROWN GIRL - broke when awkwardly placed close to the back of KISS MY PIXEL near the 1200m losing all chance.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
HES NOT THAT INTO U - held up for clear racing room early stages of the run home and again over the final stages before being placed in restricted room and having to be restrained prior to the finish line.
TUGAWAR - paced roughly early stages.
FRANCO SALAH - over-raced early.
BIG HERB - when questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer J Young advised that the gelding had benefited from an economical run and was racing in a smaller field than in its most recent starts. Mr Young further stated that, given these factors, he was not surprised by the gelding's improved performance.
Race 5   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK HANDICAP TROT
DARK GHANA - broke near the 450m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards contacting track markers near the 1200m. Hampered near the 450m by a breaking runner. Raced with its inside wheel protruding inside the track markers for a distance in the run home. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against the gelding being declared the winner, alleging that by racing with its inside wheel protruding inside track markers it gained an advantage through obtaining and improving into a run that would not otherwise have been available. After hearing evidence from Stewards, Driver S Wigg and connections, and reviewing the available race footage, the Adjudicative Committee was not satisfied that the gelding had gained an advantage as alleged and accordingly dismissed the protest.
PATRICK MAHOMES - hampered near the 450m by a breaking runner.
CONFESSIONAL - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 6   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION HANDICAP PACE
ALWAYS FLYIN - contacted track markers leaving the final bend. Driver J Stormont was issued a warning. Driver J Stormont was issued a further warning for using his whip in a continuous manner late in the run home.
LINCOLN WAVE - broke at the start losing ground.
UPSTAGE - pre-race warmed.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FINAL CHANGE - raced with its inside wheel protruding inside the track markers for a distance in the run home. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against the gelding's third placing, alleging that racing with its wheel protruding inside track markers it gained an advantage through obtaining and improving into a run that would not otherwise have been available. After hearing evidence from Stewards, Junior Driver H Orange (assisted by T Herlihy) the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and FINAL CHANGE was relegated to 4th place. Junior Driver H Orange (assisted by Z Butcher) admitted an associated charge in that he shifted inwards allowing his sulky wheel to protrude over the marker line in the run home thereby gaining and advantage. After hearing submission on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Orange's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 7 June 2026 (2 days).
TWISTA - pre-race warmed.
MHAI SURFER GIRL - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 7   LISTEN LIVE ON SPORTNATION.NZ- METRO TROTTERS FINAL MOB TROT
SON OF THE CLEANER - broke near the 1500m losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing further ground.
THE FOUR ACES - placed in restricted room nearing the 500m.
SANTAPAZIENZA - lay inwards contacting a track marker entering the final bend. Lay inwards again leaving the final bend dislodging a track marker.
CRAZY - pre-race warmed. Shifted outwards in the home straight.
HILLBILLY - lay inwards racing down the back straight on the last occasion. Broke near the 500m after improving to the inside of EAGLE HANOVER (S Abernethy) and becoming awkwardly positioned between that runner and THE FOUR ACES (J Stormont), which was racing to its inside, losing all chance. Stewards investigated the circumstances and spoke with Drivers J Stormont, S Abernethy and Junior Driver E Johnson(HILLBILLY), (assisted by T Macfarlane). After considering the evidence, it was established that HILLBILLY had initially been entitled to shift to the inside of EAGLE HANOVER however shortly afterwards EAGLE HANOVER had commenced to hang inwards under pressure and shifted marginally down the track simultaneously as HAPPY HILL (B Hackett) which was racing to the inside of both runners shifted marginally up the track. with the matter being taken no further.
Race 8   TAB - METRO PACERS FINAL MOBILE PACE
GEORGIE BEST - trainer N Purdon was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the colt to race without the notified removable deafeners.
RIVERGIRL BELLA - over-raced middle stages.
SAMMY LINCOLN - weakened final bend.
Race 9   JACOBSEN HEADSTONES CONDITIONED MOBILE PACE
CYAMATE - placed in restricted room entering first bend. Held up throughout the run home.
BETTOR BE A LEGEND - hung inwards entering the first bend placing CYAMATE in restricted room.
CLOUDING OVER - had to be steadied passing the 200m when awkwardly placed to the outside of MISS BRABANT.
REET PETITE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Had to be steadied when being shifted inwards passing the 150m by MISS BRABANT.
DEAR GOD - weakened final bend hampering trailing runner.
MISS BRABANT - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 10   BOOK MID-WINTER CHRISTMAS AT ALEX PARK 24 JULY MOB TROT
POPPYS JEWEL - broke entering the first bend before pacing having to be checked into its correct gait by driver T Hanara.
MICKY HILL - pre-race warmed. Raced greenly just prior to start and was slightly out of position at dispatch. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
SHARDS AVATAR - raced greenly in the score up and was slightly out of position at dispatch.
EDITH P - broke in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened from the 600m.
