Race 1   BROSNAN TRANSPORT PASSING LANE TROT
ROBO TROUBLE - trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
BAFFLED - driver R Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 868(3) in that he failed to drive his horse out to the end of the race when having a reasonable chance of finishing in 5th place. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 29 May up to and including 5 June 2026 (2 days).
HELP ME - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Held up early in the run home. Lay inwards over the concluding stages. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and HELP ME was disqualified by Stewards.
SILVESTER - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Held up early in the run home by a weakening runner.
JUST EASY - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
SPANISH PRINCESS - weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
OLIVER - held up early in the run home. Trotted roughly for a short distance passing the 75m.
MOA MOJITO - lay inwards at various stages throughout with the mare losing ground rounding the final bend in consequence.
Race 2   PAUL & MARGARET GALLAGHER MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
LOUIS - had to be steadied racing into the first bend when crowded for racing room.
SOFIA ROSE - raced wide early. Driver H Douglas was warned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when crowding inside runners.
FRANCO CHAPLIN - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Waldron advised the gelding had been unlucky at its last start when held up and he was not surprised by today's result.
LOGAN ROCK - hung inwards at various stages throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver R Close reported he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted inside the final 400m, Mr Close advised that he had attempted to shift wider rounding the final bend however the horse had hung inwards causing him considerable difficulty and he had been unable to come to the outside of the track despite his efforts. Stewards accepted Mr Close's comments.
BRONSKI - held up leaving the final bend.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - paced roughly in the score up and broke losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver J Lane was issued a warning for using his whip on a runner out of contention.
DOCTOR TIM - late scratching at 8.40am on Veterinary advice.
MIDNIGHT SOPHIA - crowded by outside runners racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
Race 3   THE TWO NOELS TROT
JUST CHARLIE - tangled away. Weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner.
TYRON EVEREST - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home.
TAMSIN TROUBLE - held up early in the run home.
PHANTOM SPUR - weakened from the 600m.
OUR PERIWINKLE - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
BRIGHTMAN - raced wide early.
FAKE MAJESTIC - trainer N Taylor was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners and blinds which had not been notified. Broke after 100m losing all chance.
TURBO TOMMY - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
MISS MADDIE MAXIE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
JUST GIVEME STRENGTH - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 4   JACK & MARY PHILLIPS MEMORIAL PACE
WHATA IMPACT - paced roughly and broke rounding the first bend hampering outside and trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver G O'Reilly reported that one hopple shortener had failed to activate after becoming entangled.
DELIGHTINGOLD - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
TEE BALL - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
NEVERLOOKTWICE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 2100m.
FRUGAL - late scratching at 8.45am on Veterinary advice.

Race 5   SOUTHWEST REFRIGERATION MOBILE PACE
FEI LONG - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
FRANCO NEWARK - raced wide without cover from the 1000m.
TICKERS TIME - raced wide early.
TAUMUTU MAJOR - ran off the track when leading near the 1250m despite the efforts of driver S Thornley losing all chance and was retired from the race. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on two occasions prior to resuming.
COULD BE KATY - raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
CRUNCHY GRANOLA - held up early in the run home.
TUPPENCE - raced wide with cover from the 800m.
BONJOUR MIKI - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver R May. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
ERIN - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
EBONY EYES - co-trainers D & S Iremonger were issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified blinds. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Harrison. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
OLYMPIAN - over-raced for a distance passing the 1400m with driver J Cox shifting the gelding wider on the track.
Race 6   COASTER HOWE LOVES TIMARU TROTTING HANDICAP TROT
MONARCH PRINCE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900m and had to shift wider on the track. Steadied near the 1700m to regain a position on the marker line resulting in a slight easing of the pace. Held up early in the run home.
WOT UP TYRON - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JOHNNY TROTTER - had to be steadied near the 1700m after a slight easing of the pace. Broke near the 40m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(5) alleging the gelding was lapped on at the finish by MILES AWAY and ROYAL DEL. Connections did not contest the protest and JOHNNY TROTTER was relegated to 4th placing by Stewards. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
CAPPAHA - had to be steadied near the 1700m after a slight easing of the pace. Broke near the 200m losing all chance.
MILES AWAY - had to be steadied near the 1700m after a slight easing of the pace.
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - the required veterinary clearance was received. Shifted outwards at the start checking an outside runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

FOLIEJON STAR - broke at the start losing ground. Held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
COMMANDER BEN - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Held up final bend. Shifted outwards leaving the final bend briefly placing outside runners in restricted room. Driver H Douglas was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
KOWHAI NUGGET - broke at the start and shifted outwards abruptly checking outside runners losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up final bend.
RACK'EM UP - checked by an inside runner at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 400m checking trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A clip on the breastplate broke during the running. Driver A Drake admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip when out of contention. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

BRIANNA - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ROYAL DIEDRE - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Williams advised the mare had raced keenly when she attempted to restrain to obtain cover for a distance passing the 1200m.
JORDAN ANNE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - raced wide early.
FLYING DREAMS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced four wide in the early stages before racing three wide from the 1300m. Weakened from the 900m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Driver J Dunn reported he had difficulty restraining the filly after striking the sulky wheel discs in the early stages and felt his best option was to improve forward instead of risk the filly choking down.
WANNA PLAY A GAME - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 900m. Driver R Holmes admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted ground outwards prior to the 1000m forcing FOUR WISE WOMEN to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
LIVING ON A PRAYER - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
FOUR WISE WOMEN - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Forced wider on the track by an inside runner approaching the 1000m.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - out of position at the start. Driver R May was issued a warning. Had to be steadied near the 900m after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER.
Race 10   EQUINE CHIROPRACTOR T. C. BEHRNS PACE
RENA - broke at the start checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
GOORAMBAT ART - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
NOT OVER - raced wide from the 1100m. Briefly locked wheels with LORD FANTASY near the 350m.
CHEEKY RED - driver T Chmiel was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.

A false start was declared when ANN SOPHIE broke in the score up checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver W House elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
ANN SOPHIE - weakened from the 700m hampering a trailing runner. A post race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery.
