Race 4 - TOP OF THE PARK OPEN FRI 22 MAY MOBILE PACE
Trainer J Teaz advised Stewards on 18 May that AWESOME CHOICE had been seen by his stable veterinarian and was showing signs of soreness in the near front shin. Mr Teaz further advised the gelding had also been treated for a virus and would be freshened prior to resuming.

Race 1   BRANDT HANDICAP TROT
EYRE I WILL - tangled away. Broke rounding the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m when in a break. Connections did not contest the protest and EYRE I WILL was disqualified by Stewards.
TAYLAD TO USE - trotted roughly in the early stages and racing into the first bend.
KINK - trotted roughly middle stages. Shifted up the track near the 750m when driver M Hay was activating gear which allowed the trailing ROMEO FOXTROT to improve to its inside. Mr Hay advised that the gelding had been proving difficult to steer and had placed him at a disadvantage when activating the removable deafeners. Mr Hay further advised that it was this runner's first start at Alexandra Park and had been laying inwards on the bends and outwards on the straights. After viewing the replays which confirmed Mr Hay's explanation Stewards took the matter no further.
Race 2   DAILY FREIGHT EXPRESS MOBILE PACE
MARYLYNES BOY - over-raced middle stages. Lay outwards at various stages throughout.
LUCKY LUKA - driver T Herlihy was warned for half carting near the 1600m.
TOFFEE POTTS - lay inwards striking track markers near the 1750m. Again lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend. The boring pole came detached in the run home after the clip on the saddle attachment broke.
BELLE BIDDY - out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SRIRACHA - lay inwards in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M McKendry.
MIDNIGHT BETTY - trainer J Young was warned for the late notification of driver for his stable runners.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD NORTHERN TROTTING OAKS MOBILE TROT
MECHANICA - lay inwards when weakening and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
ATMOSFEAR - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
STINA BLACKSTENIUS - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
TATTICA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
Race 4   DAYAVEG MOBILE PACE
MICK KONSTANTIN - lay inwards rounding the first bend and struck a track marker which was dislodged. Weakened in the run home. Driver J Abernethy advised the gelding had cast the right front shoe at the start.
BLAZING LOUIE - out of position at the start. Driver N Chilcott was issued a warning.
HOORAY HENRY - out of position at the start. Driver B Butcher was issued a warning.
MELTON MOGUL - out of position at the start. Driver A Poutama was issued a warning.
Race 5   PRIMOR PRODUCE NORTH ISLAND MARES CHAMPIONSHIP HCP TROT
REGAL GIRL - checked near the 1300m.
WESTAR MILLY - checked near the 1300m.
HILL BILLIE BUNDY - checked and broke near the 1300m losing all chance.
JASINOVA - fractious prior to the start and refused to come into line requiring the assistance of starting attendants delaying the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. Broke near the 1600m and refused to settle checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
IT AIN'T ME BABE - late scratching at 7.50am on veterinary advice.
WALKINONSUNSHINE - driver J Dickie advised that he was unable to fully activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
YA RITE DARL - raced wide early stages.
Race 6   POWELL TRANSPORT 47th NORTH ISLAND BREEDERS STAKES HCP PACE
TWO JULES - broke at the start losing ground.
SWEET MAGGIE MAE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 7   BALLE BROS - METRO TROTTERS HEAT 3 MOBILE TROT
SHES ALL LEGS - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1450m.
HOME GROWN GIRL - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
MUM'S ANGEL - briefly placed in restricted room early in the score up before breaking. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke rounding the final bend losing its chance. The all clear was withheld until driver O Gregory (assisted by T Mitchell) had viewed the start with both driver and Stewards satisfied that notwithstanding being placed in restricted room the filly had broke due to its own manners.
WHO'S YA DADDY - lay inwards early in the score up briefly placing an inside runner in restricted room. Broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
DARK GHANA - locked wheels with an inside runner rounding the final bend for a distance losing ground.
CRAZY - pre-race warmed. Hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Locked wheels with an outside runner rounding the final bend for a distance losing ground.
VORONOV - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Hampered rounding the final bend.
Race 8   NZ ONION CO - METRO PACERS HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
RIVERGIRL BELLA - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Struck a track marker in the run home. Driver T Cameron was issued a warning.
GEORGIE BEST - held up for clear racing room early in the run home.
NIGHT MOVES - lay outwards near the 150m and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of LIFE LESS ORDINARY which was laying inwards.
LIFE LESS ORDINARY - lay inwards when being forced wider on the track rounding the final bend and again early in the run home when being awkwardly placed close to the sulky of NIGHT MOVES
CAPTAINS SECRET - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
BIG HERB - awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of CAPTAINS SECRET after contesting a position rounding the first bend. Stewards questioned junior driver J Dunn (assisted by T Cameron) who advised that after initially challenging for the position he had attempted to relieve the pressure however the gelding had begin to hang inwards. Notwithstanding this Mr Dunn was reminded of his obligations when contesting a position.
