Race 1   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE CONSOLATION (MOBILE PACE)
There was a delay to the start due to the mobile requiring replacement.
COURAGE REACTOR - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m.
LORD MUDRICK - weakened from the 400m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Butt advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
VERDUCCI - over-raced when being restrained through the early stages. Hampered by a weakening runner and awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of SANTANNA MACH near the 500m. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver J Young-Grant advised the gelding had been unlucky in its most recent starts and she had altered its training regime throughout the week. She added the gelding had worked well in preparation for today's race in which it had received a run to suit with a clear run to the finish and she was not surprised by the result.
SANTANNA MACH - over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 500m hampering a trailing runner.
ANYTIME AT ALL - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was slightly disappointed with the effort given the run the mare had received.
MOTOR MOUTH - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   HAPPY JOINT 90TH TO PETE & SHIRLEY MOBILE PACE
BONJOUR MIKI - trainer G Dunn was issued a warning for being late to notify the gelding would be racing with removable deafeners.
FRANCO NOT OUT - raced wide early.
BABY COME BACK - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
MIKIME - slow to leave the pre-race formation and hung inwards striking a track marker in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of placings was withheld after connections wished to review replays of the start to determine whether the gelding had been denied a fair start with all placings being authorised.
HEAVENS ARE HEAVING - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again rounding the first bend losing ground. Weakened final bend.
ALWAYS TAKE KING - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Held up early in the run home.
FAY COURTNEY - raced wide early.
SEASIDEMAGIC - paced roughly shortly after the start. Hung inwards and raced greenly at various stages during the running. Raced wide from the 1000m.
Race 3   BARNSY'S ALL TRADE SERVICES TROT
The start was delayed due to LIVING ON A PRAYER requiring farrier attention.
JUST EASY - held up early in the run home.
A REASON TO FIGHT - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
ROYAL GRACE - weakened from the 500m.
NATIVES INFERNO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
VALYRIAN - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

LOVEYOU TO DA SKYE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke losing all chance.

DREAM BOYZ - held up early in the run home.
LOGAN ROCK - held up early in the run home. Driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
SHADES OF ROBYN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Butt. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   WAI EYRE STUD ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION FINAL (TROT)
HOOFN IT - weakened from the 500m hampering a trailing runner.
KATELIN - fractious prior to the start.
MOUNT THOMAS - held up early in the run home.
REGAL SUMMIT - held up early in the run home.
RAZOR RAY - over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 1300m.
B K MUMMA JAMIE - began awkwardly. Weakened final bend.
REPENDANT - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 6   AUTO SELF SERVE CAR WASH WAIMAK JUNCTION HANDICAP PACE
GOORAMBAT ART - over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
QUICKER THE BETTOR - paced roughly approaching the first bend having to be steadied. Held up early in the run home. Weakened final stages.
SUPER FUND - late scratching at 9.05am on Veterinary advice.
Race 7   JD PROPERTY BROKERS TROT
WOT UP TYRON - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
BIRDY - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - held up early in the run home.
LOVE WALKED IN - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
SILVERLININGS - refused to come up into its position at the start losing all chance. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts and stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
MACHO MAN - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
MM SUNSHINE - permission was granted for the mare to race in alternative colours.
MILES AWAY - broke leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
ROYAL DEL - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MAVIS JONES - raced wide without cover from the 700m.
Race 8   WAI EYRE STUD ANNE THOMPSON GRADUATION FINAL (MOB PACE)
RAKERO FALCON - hung inwards and raced inside a track marker when weakening rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
BELLA CIAO - hung inwards leaving the final bend and struck a track marker.
CHERISH ME - raced wide early.
BETTOR DREAMS - co-trainers B & T White were issued a warning for presenting the filly to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified.
HOKIE POKIE - lost ground on the field in the back straight on the final occasion.
